The main objective of the website redesign was to create a more user focused, responsive website that would enable 3 click purchasing of tickets.
- We created a custom design to sit on WordPress, and beefed it up with premium plugins specifically designed for events. The home page features a twirling effect to grab the user’s attention.
- Inside pages introduced reviews for the first time which have been shown to increase bookings by 23%.
- The new site increased visits by 65.5% in the first month alone.
- Mobile customers now account for roughly 50% of all bookings.
Brightspark has been designing websites ‘mobile first’ since 2009.
In 2014, Brightspark won Most Responsive Web App in the Irish Web Awards. This was one of the main reasons why The Helix chose to work with us. It was an absolute requirement that the new site be mobile and tablet friendly, as well as looking good.
As with every site we work on, we paid particular attention to the content and converted much of the old text into user friendly, search engine focused copy. This ability to deliver more than just design and development is what makes Brightspark’s sites really stand out from their peers.
The Helix website is self managed by the client. And we delivered the entire project in a manner of weeks.
We are thrilled with our new website. We particularly like the fact it is now more image driven and mobile/ tablet adaptable and much more user friendly. In relation to promoting shows we are now able to recommend shows to our customers, upload more content, and as a result it is more engaging for our customers.
