During the first full quarter that Brightspark Consulting were managing their business tourism social media content, Meet in Ireland ranked in the top 5 at least once a month.

WORKING THE ROOM AT THE 2020 STRATEGY DAY

  • Our live tweeting team were on site at Croke Park for the 2020 strategy day taking photographs, videos and posting regular content throughout the day.
  • We also produced vox pop videos of industry delegates who have worked closely with Meet In Ireland and attended the strategy day. These videos were posted on Twitter and were also shared to the LinkedIn Page.
  • A highlights showreel of the day was produced and shared on Twitter within 12 hours of the event close.

Business Tourism Social Media Management: Our Approach

  • An initial audit resulted in the closure of two Twitter accounts and communications to bring the followers of both over to the primary Twitter account.
  • Followers were categorised using Twitter list tools; this facilitates a focus on engaging with trade and stakeholders separately and simultaneously.
  • Daily activity in which we actively engage with the audience, build relationships and support the industry every working day.
  • Content generation processes were introduced to facilitate the sourcing of images and videos from FAM trips, conferences and other events whilst developing a language and brand standard around posting.
  • Internal processes have been communicated to enhance the pre-promotion of particular events, as well as cross posting to LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • A Twitter Guide has been developed to simplify and clarify the best practices for Twitter content creation and management for a multitude of stakeholder types.
