All About Photography

If you’re into photography, you will need a tissue while you’re reading this! Because you’re about to hear about an *amazing opportunity* to get your work profiled in international media AND to win really cool prizes. You’re either going to be crying or drooling at the end of this, so go and get a tissue, then come back to me….
Everyone’s favourite photo sharing site, Pixie, are working with the organisers of the St Patrick’s Day Festival on a huge photo sharing project to help document this year’s festival in pictures from the perspective of those attending. The aim is to invite everyone bringing their camera to this year’s events to contribute their photos to the official St Patrick’s Festival group so that the experience can be shared with people from all over the world.
To make things a little more interesting, there’s a rather spiffy competition that will place the winners in positions of loftiness that have hitherto only been accessible to you if you are:
a. Bertie
b. Dana
c. A President whose name is Mary
Not only the hob nobbing, but you will also get to take home some tidy prizes from Canon to the tune of €1,800.
Quick. How do I enter?
Wait. It’s all about suspense and anticipation. Keep your eyes on the St Patricks Fest Group page and all will be revealed. Soon real soon.
What do I win exactly?
- 1st Prize – Canon EOS 1000D digital SLR camera, Selphy ES3 photo printer, €150 photography training course, adding memory card and photo printing paper. Total value €1,050
- 2nd Prize – Powershot E1 digital camera and Selphy ES3 photo printer. Total value €480
- 3rd Prize – Selphy ES3 photo printer. Total value €240
What now?
Well if I were one who knew how to use my camera with the automatic setting turned to ‘off’, I’d be clicking on over to the Pixie St Patricks Day Festival Page. I’d be checking out all the other people who have already signed up, sizing up their work from their profiles, then arranging for some black paint to be splashing its way on to their lenses. Wait… did I say that out loud? I’d be checking out their fine work and creating a wonderful profile of my own by signing up to Pixie.
