Copped: Why iQ Content’s Blog Is Quiet
There have been a lot of people having their say about the new Tourism Ireland website. One thing I will say is that I know the team who worked on it worked mighty hard and put in lots of hours. It must be very deflating to bring your baby to market and not get the kind of reaction one desired. So my heart goes out to them on that front.
That said, one of the voices I would be most keen to hear on the whole saga is that of iQ Content. They are the leading usability company in Ireland. They are generally pretty quick off the mark when it comes to opinion. But their blog has been remarkably quiet – the most recent post was on 3 January:
I was wondering why this is… and scratching my head on it. I think IQ would be able to add some authority to the discussion and not just host a bitch fest like what’s happening over on the IIA pages of Linked In.
But then I copped it…
Morgan McKeagney, super MD of iQ is speaking on the same bill as Brian Harte (Tourism Ireland’s main guy behind the website) at the next Mulley event on 13 February. It would indeed be mighty embarrassing for the pair of them if anything was published before the event.
Begs the question: will we get to hear iQ’s opinion on the most talked about public sector website after 13th Feb?
I hope we do.
Noted also: Barry Hand’s mugshot on said site is definitely a fresh-faced, pre-parent shot. When are you going to update Barry?
