New Brightspark Logo

Work has begun … in time for the 10 year anniversary … to update the Brightspark Logo. While I’m very fond of the colours, the swish is very dated and I cringe inwardly whenever I hand my card over to someone. I cringe very loudly and outwardly at the state of the business card that logo is displayed on. Talk about dated.

So the time has come to update the logo, and have a bit of a look at the brand. I got the first rush of designs late on Friday and I was reminded of them last night while I was glued to the telly for the return of Love Hate to RTE.

Exhibit A: Current Brightspark Logo:

Exhibit B: Proposed New Brightspark Logo:

Exhibit C: Love Hate Logo:

What do you think of the proposed direction of my new logo? Is it a step too far in terms of scaling it right back and relying on the font? Or do you like it? Does it make you want to ask what the B and the C are for?
Or do you think BC, before Christ? I definitely don’t want any negative age connotations…. although Brightspark has been around for a very long time… 10 years in web year is 76 years in real life.

I would value your opinions. Go on, give it to me…

I agree with Heidi. Brightspark is a great name and totally suits you and what you do. “BC” makes me think “because” or “before Christ”. Is the “C” for Consulting very important or could you lose it?

Hi Maryrose! Great stuff on taking the big step of new logo. Love the colour, love the font. Don’t love the B/C – Your business name is awesome and memorable and doesn’t need to be diluted!
